Love is a run in the park on a warm summer day
A good thought is the warm sunshine on your face
A smile is the breeze blowing through your hair
A hug is the tingly in your toes
A kiss is the ice cream cone you eat when you are finished
FINAL DRAFT:
Haiku
A small pond sits still
Into it a stone is thrown
The water ripples
Tanka
In the tall oak tree
Sits a girl in a pink dress
She falls to the ground
Scraped knee and tear in eye
She stands to climb once again

I really liked tanka. It was my favorite. You begin to think it just a a story about a girl who falls out of a tree but the last line sent a new wave a meaning into it that the reader doesn’t expect. Really Good.
